A Good Pace Effort

This morning was the first race of the NENSA roller ski race series, and Kris won ahead of Andrew Johnson. Kris was pleased with his effort, and had very positive sensations throughout. While he didn’t have the top-gear to completely hammer over the tops of the hills, he felt very strong throughout. And he was particularly pleased that he was able to crank up the effort in the last kilometer and finish at a very fast pace. That is something he’s been focusing on in his sustained intensity sessions this season.

This afternoon Kris is going for an easy paddling session, and tomorrow is a 4.5 hours double-pole OD. Monday Kris will fly to Utah for physiological testing. This time next week we’ll know a whole lot more.
